What your Insights are telling you

A guided tour of your own data: how to read each chart, and the questions worth asking of it.

The Solvance Team3 min read

The short version

  • Insights turns your sits, tags and Daily Logs into a mirror of your practice.
  • Five tabs answer five questions: how it's going, what works, how it's deepening, how it shapes your day, and how consistent you are.
  • The most useful insights come from honest tags and a couple of weeks of regular logging.
  • Every chart is a question to take back to the cushion.

You've been sitting. You've been tagging. Maybe you've been filling in your Daily Log most evenings. Somewhere in all of that is a story about you: when you settle most easily, what shifts your mood, which practices take you deepest. Insights is where that story becomes visible.

Here's how to read it, tab by tab.

Overview: the short version

Your practice so far tells your story in plain sentences: how much you've sat, how it's been changing, what stands out. Personal patterns highlights your strongest day of the week, your best hour, and how your Daily Log sliders differ on days you sit. Year over Year compares this year to last.

Ask yourself: does this match how the practice has felt? Where does it surprise me?

Your practice: what works

  • Time-of-day analytics shows when you sit and when those sits go best. Your natural doorway is often right here.
  • Practice type efficiency ranks your practices by how they leave you feeling, based on the state tags you give each sit.
  • Duration sweet spots finds the sit length where your practice feels best. It's often not the longest one.

Use the date range and filters at the top to zoom in: just this month, just breath practice, just the sits linked to one intention.

Depth over time: how it's deepening

The Best of the Best looks at your ✦ profound sits and shows what they have in common: practice, time of day, length, sound. Profound rate tracks how often your sits reach that depth, month by month. State trends charts the tags you choose over time, and Practice balance shows how your mix of practices is shifting.

The Best of the Best is a recipe. It's your deepest sits telling you how to have more of them.

Meditation & your day: the ripple effect

This is where Solvance connects your sits to your life. Good days & hard days compares days you sat with days you didn't. Meditation & waking day links the way a sit felt to the day tags that followed. Mood & Practice charts your evening sliders over time, and Lagged effect looks at whether today's sit shows up in tomorrow's mood.

Ask yourself: on the days I sit, what's different? Which slider moves most?

Habits & progress: the long game

The Consistency heatmap shows your whole year at a glance. Progress milestones celebrates what you've reached. Anchor time finds the time of day your practice keeps returning to, Returning to practice shows how quickly you come back after a break, and Intention Follow-through shows how your intentions turn into completed ones.
